blame it on Illy April 30, 2014

Just as Kobe Bryant announced, Carter V season has begun.

Earlier today, Floyd Mayweather Jr jumped on the endorsement train and posted a clip of Wayne and Drake in the studio. The track playing in the background turns out to be “Believe Me,” the first single – produced by Boi-1da & Vinylz – which is due out any minute now.

    Drop it…please..

  • datbul

Ya’ll gon’ be mad as hell if that shit is trash. Looooooool.

    • MewLover34

Not really. No one expects anything else from Wayne. However, people are gonna be mad as hell if the album somehow happens to be dope.

      • datbul

Lol. I don’t know man. People always convince themselves rappers are gonna ‘get back to form’ and whatnot. People are hyped. They wan that old Wayne. The beat for the song does sound hot. It’s produced by Boi1da so it’s probably gon be fire. Guess we’ll see.

        • Mez D

That CRWN interview almost has me expecting something. I think he was saying something along the lines of Cortez his manager saying he needs to get back to a little more substance to be remembered. And hes been talking about working harder than he ever has.
Im not hoping for too much though.

  • I’m going to let this track decide if I should care for the album or not, the wait begins…

  • Mac Dre

I bet the song will debut during the Mayweather fight telecast. Drake and Wayne will probably perform it while Mayweather makes his ring entrance.

  • Pizza Steve

Yea, there’s alot of pressure on Wayne right now. This is show & prove

  • biff tannen

  • ShoSchlimpin

and we gon’ be alright if we put Drake on every hook…

  • who cares

I always find it weird as hell when an artist reveals the artwork for a single. That will literally never make sense to me.

    • joey

      to create hype, marketing.

      • leutrim

but it doesnt, literally nobody gives a shit

  • SetSide

    Here’s snippets:

That’s Drake verse. Homie titled that shit wrong.

    • Chris Brown

mmmmmmmm so.. maybe.. the full song goes under the slow pitched drums?….interesting

  • P.eZ (R.I.P Ke’son)

After that verse on Ross album Wayne sounded more interested in rhyming. He might have something up his sleeve

“Spring Flings: The Ep, an account based & themed around my everyday dealings with women in it’s own unique way. Vivid storytelling, dope beats, lyricism & songwriting. 5 tracks being released the 5th day of the 5th month at the 5th hour. You can check the lead singles Hey Irene & Next To You. I hope you all enjoy.”

why even release single covers? does anyone actually peep these or is it just another attempt at viral marketing?

    • joey

it’s not an attempt, it works. The internet is taling about it.

    • StudentOfTheGame

when you buy the song on itunes or whatever, you get the single artwork. not the album art. and back in the day you can buy the single (explicit, clean, and instrumental) in one tape for your enjoyment before the album drops.

  • disqus_pyrGXaSTDx

    drek leftover

  • StudentOfTheGame

even tho this is a “meh” for me. i see this being a hit no matter what any of us say. “Cuz we gon be alright if we put drake on every hook”

he needs drake for this one.
