After kicking things off at the top of the year with his If Guns Could Speak EP, Brooklyn-bred, ATL-based emcee Wara From the NBHD is back with the release of his debut album, If Guns Could Speak PSA.
Picking up where he left off on the EP, Wara continues the narrative of a young black writer with artistic aspirations yet fully aware of his current reality—oppression, violence, and the ongoing struggle of being black in America.
Speaking with Noisey, Wara explained his vision as “a black musician using his art to uplift himself and his people out from under the forgotten baseboards of the dilapidated superstructure that is American society.”
