Ciara and Future‘s relationship and ensuing break-up have been mightily publicized over the last three years. Between having a child together and spitting shortly after, Future dropping his post-break-up gem (Monster), and Ciara dating Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson, their relationship and family life has played out in front of the pop culture lens.
Future hasn’t been shy about how he feels Ciara is handling her relationship with Russell Wilson and Baby Future.

According to TMZ, Ciara is suing for $15 million for libel and slander.

If my media law class in college taught me anything, it’s that suing for libel (written shit talking a.k.a tweets) or slander (spoken shit talking a.k.a. The Breakfast Club, the assumed lyrics about Ciara throughout Future’s music) is incredibly difficult to prove when it comes to: 1) the person doing the talking is coming with malicious intent to damage a person’s reputation and 2) the person receiving the shit talking’s reputation was damaged in a way.
While this may just be a threat toward Future to back off on revealing the inner workings of their personal issues, $15 million is no joke, so I wouldn’t be surprised to see Future become somewhat mum on the issue — and that’s probably for the best. But either way, for a man who has released seven projects in a year and a half, he’s going to fill up the airtime the only way he knows how.
