In another case of “classic albums older than some of today’s top up-and-comers,” the trio of Posdnuos, Dave and Maseo marked another achievement in their illustrious career.

The second album from the Native Tongue members, De La Soul Is Dead, was highly praised by hip hop fans and music critics alike, notching a coveted “5 Mic” rating from The Source and regarded by several publications as the best albums of the 1990s. The album will turn 25 years old on May 14th, 2016, and De La commemorate the occasion by revealing a track that actually didn’t make it past the cutting room floor.

Titled “Sho Nuff,” the song is produced by Plug Won (aka Posdnuos). Also, De La have launched a memorial website in honor of the album, where fans can digitally leave signatures as well as listen to De La Soul Is Dead in its entirety. Kickstart a nostalgia-induced weekend below.

Of course, this comes ahead of their anticipated new album and The Anonymous Nobody arriving in August.
