Sampha has lowkey had a wonderful 2016 despite not releasing much new content.
After surfacing on Kanye West’s “Saint Pablo” earlier in the year (then subsequently added to The Life of Pablo tracklist), Sampha dropped “Timmy’s Prayer” — an incredible, somber-yet-soulful affair. Thursday, the British singer-songwriter stopped by BBC Radio 1 to play an acoustic version of the single live for its listeners. And thanks to the wonderful world of the Internet, we didn’t have to tune in live to enjoy the performance whenever we choose.
