21 Savage – “No Target”

I had a bunch of friends from out of town over the weekend, and one set of friends listened to 21 Savage — namely Savage Mode — the entire ride up. Listening to 21 Savage doesn’t encompass much, but it might does catch your attention when he’s spitting out ad-libs, especially when he puts the “sh” sound on “skrt” in a low and crackled voice.

Two people saying “shkrt” caused one or two more to say “shkrt” and next thing you know the whole apartment was asking “Young Savage, why you trappin’ so hard?”

I only tell that story because I told my friends I was excited for new 21 Savage to come out so I could tell that story. And here we are, with new 21 Savage courtesy of producer Brodinski.

“No Target” will land on Brodinski’s The Sour Patch Kid. Unfortunately, for my own purpose, there are no shkrts to be heard, but that doesn’t dilute the experience of the weekend or listening to the song.
