Mick Jenkins stopped by Sway In The Morning at the end of last week to talk about The Healing Component — his poignant and jazzy debut album.
While there — as many emcees have to — Jenkins offered a freestyle, only many don’t run as deep and precise as Jenkins’ did. And he offered the session over spacey, knocking beats he’d never heard before courtesy of producer David Sisko, who’d been on the show earlier in the day talking about his own work.
