While he prepares for the follow up to his 2015 EP The Great Escape, Kris Kasanova is still out here cooking for the fans.

The Brooklyn-born-and-bred emcee set off the new year with his reimagining of ScHoolboy Q’s “Tookie Knows” and retitling it “Mitch Knows” with a hat tip to the 2002 crime drama Paid In Full.

Now, with February in full effect, Kris is back with another loosie, this time setting his sights on Solange’s “Weary” (off her #1 Billboard-charting album A Seat At the Table).

Kris, who has grown tired of having to constantly tighten his circle, said the song’s inspiration comes from having to cut “n*ggas who aren’t honorable” from his cipher, continuing “I know if I want to be successful, I had to cut them.”

It’s a notion that we can all relate to. Listen to it below.
