Professor Quavo: Watch The Migos’ Culture Class at NYU

blame it on Meka March 7, 2017

On the heels of releasing their chart-topping album Culture, the Migos were booked by New York University to “teach a class on culture.”

On January 28th, Quavo and Takeoff (no Offset) hosted the class at the Iris and B. Gerald Cantor Film Center, tasked with “discussing their impact on fashion, music, pop culture and more.” Thanks to an enterprising guest, some of their discussion was captured on video.

The two spent time talking about their fashion sense, the pop culture (there’s that word again), their creative process, industry setbacks and more. They even professed their desire to meet Barack Obama one day, and briefly spoke on injecting a bit more socially conscious lyrics in their music in the future.
