For the last couple weeks, Miguel has been uploading short videos of covers of songs to his Instagram. Fans suggests songs for him to cover — which he does acapella — and then the world gets to hear the minute-long interpretation.
The latest song Miguel covered was SZA‘s “The Weekend.” Given he doesn’t put the cover on wax, Mr. Pimentel went to an art gallery — the Lora Schlesinger Gallery in Santa Monica, to be specific — for his performance.
“Foxy-ass song,” Miguel said in the video’s caption. “Definitely a favorite of mine on the album.” He sure does sing it well, too.
