Joyner Lucas‘s The 508 Project is an album completely dedicated to New England hometown of Worcester and the people who helped make him the rapper and man he is today.
He gets specific on “Forever,” where he’s speaking to his young son. He’s not at the age where little Joyner can understand what dad is saying, but he’s putting his thoughts down on wax so they can last for eternity. Lucas’s thoughts aren’t always pretty, but they’re words a son needs to hear from his dad. The two play around for most of the video, but it’s especially touching when Lucas raps about originally wanting his girl to get an abortion when he first found out she was pregnant.
