Marlon Craft – “Friends” (Video)

blame it on Shake April 18, 2018

Marlon Craft doesn’t need your friendship.

With the third installment of his A Dollar in Quarters series in the works, Craft revisits Vol. 2 (50c) to release a video for the project’s intro and lead single, “Friends.”

All about being enough for yourself, MC had the following to say about the song’s overall meaning: “The mind is a really powerful thing and it’s its own maze. You really gotta explore and make maps and shit if you wanna conquer your inclinations and understand yourself. So it’s all about the willingness to do internal work and watch yourself think and be.”

Directed by John Tashiro, the video follows Craft as he walks through an abandoned warehouse (alone), rehearses for a show (alone), posts up at a house party (alone washing whiskey down with Corona, Stella and Peroni), and recording music (you guessed it, alone).

“I’ve dealt with anxiety my whole life,” he says, “music always been the medicine.”

Check out the video for “Friends” below and be on the look out for that 75c piece, hopefully dropping soon.
