As I’m sure you’re aware, there’s a clip floating across the Internets of recent million-seller and flatback proponent Taylor Swift rapping along to Kendrick’s “Backseat Freestyle” as she celebrated going platinum in one week/being the lone platinum-selling album of 2014. Well, during his time at Dallas, TX radio show Dede In The Morning he somewhat returned the favor by freestyling over her own No. 1 single. Listen to what happens, below.
On a related note, Peter Rosenberg revealed that, after he an Ebro sat down with him, he’s heard four songs from Kendrick’s upcoming new album, including the much-ballyhooed “King Kunta,” and divulged his thoughts on “The Realness” earlier today. He also says that Kendrick’s album won’t actually release until early 2015, which kinda puts a damper on the whole “six TDE albums in 2014” plan the label is trying to do as well. Listen to it below.
