This weekend, Shake and I were talking about Jeremih. More specifically, we were talking about how inexplicable it is that even after his game-changing Late Nights: The Mixtape and notching a platinum single in 2014’s “Don’t Tell ‘Em” there is virtually no sign of his loooong-in-the-works Late Nights: The Album.

There’s even a Pitchfork piece that discusses this very dilemma.

On top of this, he’s also released two follow-up singles as well: the excellent “Planes” with J. Cole (I prefer the Chance The Rapper/Social Experiment version, based on those horns alone) and the Flo-Rida-featured “Tonight Belongs To U!

Today, Jeremih drops yet another track, a brief-but-sweet track where he trades in the singing for some double-time raps.

My guess is that this is far from the “final form” as it clocks in at under two minutes, but it’s still another page in this increasingly-longer chapter that will simultaneously entertain and frustrate both Shake and I while we still wonder the whereabouts of his next album. I mean, at the very least, could you drop a DJ-free version of Late Nights: The Mixtape?
