There are two producers who I’ve felt have always brought the best out of Casey Veggies: brandUn DeShay and Hit-Boy. Casey’s 2010 single “Ridin’ Roun’ Town” – produced by brandUn – remains one of his fan favorites, while he and the HS87 front-man have connected numerous times (“The Boy” and Dom Kennedy‘s “CDC“).
With his major label debut, Live & Grow, arriving on September 25th, Casey and Hit-Boy connect one more time on this loosie which will actually not make it to the album. A slow-grooving banger punctuated by funky guitar licks, Casey talks his stuff for over three minutes over Hit’s pulsating production.
Live & Grow is shaping up to be something special.
