So, after a summer loaded with more beef in rap than at a backyard cookout (Drake/Meek Mill, Action Bronson/Ghostface Killah, Nicki Minaj/MTV, and now perhaps Vic Mensa/Travi$ Scott), isn’t it nice to cool off a bit with some breezy soul? Well, that’s what The Foreign Exchange are here for.

With their first release since 2013’s acclaimed album Love in Flying Colors, Nicolay and Phonte will bring their wide-ranging friends along once again for their fifth album Tales from The Land Of Milk And Honey on August 21st. Since announcing the album some weeks ago I’ve been eagerly anticipating its first offering, and they do not disappoint with a 12-minute double shot of electronic soul, 90s-inspired house music (peep Phonte hilariously channeling his inner Right Said Fred, faux-accent and all) and everything including the kitchen sink thrown in. If this is an indicator of what Tales… will sound like, then I’m totally here for all of it.

But wait, there’s more! Enjoy the video for “Asking For A Friend,” below.
