ForteBowie mixes his Southern influences with modern-day vibes for his new single, “What They Want.”
Not set to land on any project, the Atlanta emcee’s song has him stunting at a swift pace over the muddled synthesizers and slapping drums. While it comes off aggressive as hell, there’s a bit of intimacy and passion ridden throughout. I can rock along easy to “What They Want,” and that’s probably its greatest strength. Its production is head-rocking and the chorus and verses are simple enough to catch onto and sing along to. With his delivery and the modern sound combining forces, this loosie is something that should (hopefully) gain some traction.
