Sometimes the best ideas come from the most seemingly anodyne of conversations. SoCal mainstays and longtime friends Krondon and Shafiq Husayn began to collaborate as far back as 2011, as the two would constantly build on race relations and the state of blackness in a white America. After a myriad of musical team-ups throughout the years, the two have now formed the duo White Boiz, and will release their debut album Neighborhood Wonderful on October 2nd.
With features from the likes of Thundercat, Anderson .Paak, Chace Infinite and others, the two introduce the meaning behind their curiously-titled moniker – as well as introduce the first offering from the project, “Mothership Intro” – in their new clip which can be viewed below.
