Last year, T-Pain shocked me and the world with his Tiny Desk Concert, singing a melody of songs sans-autotune. He wasn’t the first person to join NPR’s concert series, which consists of an artist coming into NPR’s offices and performing in front of the employees, and he won’t be the last, but T-Pain brought the series to my attention. Today, we get a new concert with soul singer Leon Bridges, who released Coming Home earlier this year that still gets plays in rotation.

Bridges played four songs with his three-piece band and backup singer, kicking off with a slower rendition of album’s title track. The tempo sped up with a performance of “Smooth Sailin’,” the group got to old-school groovin’ on “Twistin’ & Groovin'” and completed the set with a touching performance of “River.” Bridges really showed off his talents and range of sounds in this set.

You can watch the performance below, and head to NPR if you want to download an audio file of the set.
