Man, September is on fire!! We’re just over half way through the month and we’ve already received projects from Jay Rock, T.I., Travi$ Scott, Add-2, Mac Miller, and countless others. And just when you thought it might slow down a bit, Drake and Future add their names to the list with a collaborative mixtape!

Ever since Beyoncé broke the internet in December of 2013 with an unannounced release of her latest album, there’s been plenty of artists joining the trend – Future and Drake included. Earlier in the year, Future surprised fans with 56 Nights and Beast Mode, before announcing and releasing DS2 within a week. Drake dropped If You’re Reading This, It’s Too Late out of left field and, although it wasn’t a full project, he also liberated his Meek Mill diss “Back to Back” in the middle of the night as well.

A couple weeks ago, rumors of a joint project between Drake and Future started gaining heavy traffic when this cover started circulating, but fans were ultimately left empty handed as the “expected” release date came and went. And since the internets blew the top off their surprise, the “Where Ya At?” duo have been trolling away with Instagram post after Instagram post of them chillin’ and vibin’ out in the studio ever since.

There’s no room for speculation now though. What a Time to Be Alive is here! At 11 tracks,WATTBA is sure to do damage. With no features, production comes from frequent collaborators on both sides including Metro Boomin (who produced eight of the tracks), Boi-1da, Southside and Noah “40” Shebib.

I guess we now know why Meek Mill was his DJ to not play anymore Meek Mill at Made In America last week.
