Fresh off his collaboration with Chance the Rapper, “Angels,” and subsequent appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Chicago emcee Saba revisits his 2014 ComfortZone mixtape with the double video for “TimeZone” and “Whip (areyoudown?).”

The narrative has Saba enjoying the day with friends, eventually leading himself an a woman on a drive out to a cornfield before he volunteers himself to the light and gets zapped into space. The emcee floats to the unknown while the airy, soothing, piano-driven production from the second song plays beneath.

Saba told Noisey, who premiered the video, that the visual was inspired by Lupe Fiasco’s Food & Liquor album cover, which had Lupe floating in space with technology and bright colors floating around him. “That was one of the first rap albums that I was super connected to and super in love with the sound of it. So that was like a no-brainer to be like ‘let’s try to visualize this and make it a motion picture kind of deal where we take a picture and add some life to it,'” he said.
