Earlier this year, British talent Azekel showcased his singing and producing talents on his EP, Raw, Vol. 1. It featured heavy-hitting singles like “Chronophobia” and “New Romance” and showed how nice the higher tones of Azekel mixes with the darker, bass-heavy sounds of his production.

Azekel returns from across the pond now with a new single, “The War Inside,”off the second volume of Raw, which is set to drop in early 2016, according to Pigeons and Planes, who premiered the single. “The War Inside” doesn’t stray too far from Azekel’s usual themes of struggling relationships, but the song has a higher level of fullness to it. The Brit is battling a war internally and externally of what seems like conflicting race relationships, and while he’s determined his “mind won’t break” from it, his belief and ability to love is suffering because of the conflict.
