2015 was the official comeback year for Compton legend Andre Young, aka Dr. Dre.
Apart from being the closest to a Hip-Hop billionaire than any other rap mogul hustling out there these days, Dre surprised fans with his third studio album – and the first in over sixteen years – Compton: A Soundtrack. Aside from momentous occasion, Dre’s life – along with Ice Cube, Eazy E, MC Ren and DJ Yella’s – was also told in F. Gary Gray’s N.W.A. biographical drama Straight Outta Compton – which raked in $24.2 M in its first night. The super producer also nabbed a top-5 debut with the previously mentioned third LP.
Today, Dre made his return on Beats 1 and his show The Pharmacy with the first episode of 2016 streaming live now. During the show, he premiered a previously unreleased cut titled “Back to Business” featuring T.I., Justus, Victoria Monét and Sly Piper—with production from Swiff D.
