With all this “he said, he said” talk about waves and whatnot, the entire ideal can be traced back to two people: Murray, and his effervescent pomades, and Max B.

Having been incarcerated since 2009 and sentenced to 75 years on conspiracy charges related to armed robbery, kidnapping, aggravated assault and felony murder, Charly Wingate has become a long-standing fixture in hip hop culture even after his physical presence has become a ward of the state. With Kanye West renaming his album Waves, talk of Max has sparked back up once again. Now, Max himself called into Power 105’s The Breakfast Club from New Jersey State Prison for a brief conversation with Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha God and DJ Envy to talk about Kanye’s album title, his appreciation for both ‘Ye and Wiz, his influence, and more, before divulging a bit of detail concerning his legal situation.
