AlcHemist Reveals Original Version Of ScHoolboy Q’s “Hoover Street”

Recently, ScHoolboy Q shared a portion of the first single from his follow-up to his 2014 major label debut Oxymoron, “Groovy Tony:”

As fans fervently wait for that song’s arrival, Alchemist – who produced “Break The Bank” on Oxymoron, revealed that he also crafted a version of “Hoover Street” that ultimately did not make the final cut (that record would be produced by Sounwave of Digi+Phonics).

With anticipation for new music from Q running high, Alan the Chemist has unveiled his take on “Hoover Street.” The song contains the same instrumentation as the album version (albeit, with the exception of live drums used in Sounwave’s production); however, the second half of the song has a more sinister backdrop instead. While there is no word on why this version wasn’t green-lit for Oxymoron, fans should undoubtedly be excited to hear this alternative version of the song regardless.
