No longer a rare instance, it’s becoming more and more the norm for artists—especially of the R&B nature—to make a faceless debut. From The Weeknd to Bryson Tiller, the early mystique behind a voice has proven to be a successful route to take—if your music stacks up to the rest, of course.
Enter Dantes, a Miami-based singer who is using the cryptic approach with the release of his Purgatory EP.
Led by the left field pairing of Project Pat and Allan Kingdom on the Purps-produced intro, “My Juice,” Dantes also enlists RichPoSlim, KirbLaGoop, Mike Dece and SDotBraddy for the three-track offering.
