Spiff TV, Rick Ross’ video director and executive at Maybach Music, has a bunch of money on his hands and wants to do something fun with it, it seems. Spiff, formally known as Carlos Suarez, has plans to drop an album full of hip-hop and Latin music collaborations, and today, he dropped the first sampling of what’s to come: “Mi Combo” with Future and Puerto Rican reggaeton artist Yandel.
“Mi Combo” trends far more toward the reggaeton sound than it does trap, coming off as a Yandel song featuring Future. Either way, this made my damn day. Growing up in South Florida, the sounds of Daddy Yankee, Don Omar, Luny Tunes and many more got heavy radio play, so it’s hilariously enjoyable to hear Future Hendrix collide with that sound.
