It’s hard to believe that, particularly in hip hop, an artist can retain some relevancy for over two decades and counting. Well, that’s what Snoop Dogg has done; he’s fully transitioned from sneer-faced gangsta rapper to beloved elder statesman and pitchman. However, he is a musician first and foremost, and he will return to that world in 2016.
During a live stream on Facebook, Snoop revealed that he will release his fourteenth album on July 1st.
Tentatively titled The Return of Doggystyle, the album will be his first since his 2015 collaborative album with Pharrell WIlliams BUSH. While there is no word on the first single, in March Just Blaze revealed an instrumental he was saving for Snoop during his DJCity MikiDz Show session.
