Remember when Anderson .Paak brought out T.I. at Coachella? Well, I figured the only reason that would happen is because they hit it off and eventually worked together — we just hadn’t seen what had come of the relationship yet.

But last night during .Paak’s appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Clifford Harris dropped by to assist the Malibu singer in a performance of the Hi-Tek-produced “Come Down.”

During one of his usual self-created drum breaks, .Paak and The Free Nationals laid the canvas for T.I. to deliver a verse full of drug slangin’, police brutality, chest pounding and fist raising. If I had any guess, I’m sure a CDQ of this will surface any day nowEither way, the energetic, gut-punching “Come Down” could climb charts this summer, especially with an assist from Tip.

UPDATE: The official audio of remix is now available on iTunes.

Paak and T.I. recorded this performance before their show at Irving Plaza in New York City Wednesday night.

During the show, shots were fired in the third floor green room, according to police reports, leaving one dead and three more injured (including Troy Ave, who was allegedly shot in the leg).

Read the full story on the shooting, which resulted in one of Troy Ave’s friends being murdered, here.
