Surely by now, most of the readers here at the DopeHouse understand how deep-rooted our “stannery,” appreciation and admiration for New York indie-pop group Phantogram extends.

While most indie acts who attempt to break into the rap market are usually of the culture vulture type, the duo of Sarah Barthel and Josh Carter are anything but. Last September, Phantogram shook up the Hip-Hop world with the release of their EP Big Grams — an incredible left-field collaboration with OutKast’s Big Boi.

The 7-track EP featured guest spots from Run the Jewels and EDM producer Skrillex, and launched three successful singles: “Fell In the Sun,” “Drum Machine” and “Born To Shine/Run For Your Life,” one of the most creative visuals to come out this year.

Still riding high off the success of their Big Grams EP, Phantogram waste no time, heading back to the studio to finish working on their third full-length album, III. To prepare you for what’s coming, Sarah and Josh share a snippet of the album’s first single, “You Don’t Get Me High Anymore” which you can stream below. Look for the song’s full release on June 16th
