This is the second time in the last months I’ve come across Bub Styles. Every time, I hope and pray Bubbles from The Wire finally got his life together and started gaining buzz as a rapper from the streets of Baltimore. Every time, that’s not the case.

The alternate isn’t a bad payoff, though.

After dropping by Hannibal King‘s “Man’s World” video, the Brooklyn native delivers the first single to his upcoming album, Fatboy Sessions: “FDW” featuring CJ Fly. Produced by the aforementioned King, Bub and the Pro Era rapper reminisce on days where money didn’t affect their surroundings. “Fuck the money; I had it all when I ain’t have shit,” the two rap throughout the song, trying to fight through the problems that come with higher stacks of paper.
