Fresh on the heels of joining the streets (and G-Eazy) to protest Donald Trump on YG and Nipsey Hussle’s anthemic “FDT pt. 2,” Macklemore kicks off his sneakers and heads out to Brazil for a little rave action.

The Seattle artist recently collaborated with Belgian producer DJ Netsky, providing vocals for a revamped version of Netsky’s “Rio,” with the remix being premiered on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 show yesterday.

Backed by Netsky’s jump-up jungle beats, chronicles living life from passport to passport while posted with his feet up, “parasailing over beaches” in Brazil’s world renowned seaside city. The original song was created with the upcoming the forthcoming Summer Olympic games in mind, as, according to the Belgian producer, the event holds a dear place in his heart “as he is the official music ambassador to the Belgian national team.”

As for the reason why he decided to jump on the remix? “I am so pumped to be on Netsky’s “Rio” remix. I loved collaborating with Boris. Now we’re ready for the summer. Let’s go!,” relays an enthusiastic Macklemore.
