Wow, where has K. Roosevelt been? The longtime Interscope signee was behind some of my favorite songs from and with Hope Wright, Hit-Boy and several others.
He now returns with a quick and breezy new jam, “Familiar Energy.” A rock-tinged R&B jam, Roosevelt comes across as a hybrid of Frank Ocean and Miguel throughout the too-short song. Hopefully this means that fans will get more music from him in the near future.
This might be one of my favorite albums of the year, already.
Da Beatminerz will drop their first project in almost 20 years.
