Now fresh in the habit of releasing music again following his “98 Juvie” remix, North Carolina rapper Well$ shares “Young Man” featuring Sylvan Esso.
“Young Man” is co-produced by Jimmy Kelso and Nick Sanborn (one half of Sylvan Esso) and will land on Well$’ upcoming The Way I’m Living Makes My Mom Nervous project. The soothingly haunting vocals on the hook are courtesy of Amelia Meath (the other half of Sylvan Esso).
Together, the two acts showcase just a small-but-talented, portion of North Carolina’s growing music scene as the indie, electronic elements of Sylvan Esso blend well with Well$ bass-heavy sounds and aggressive raps.
