Vince Staples will drop his new Prima Donna EP this Friday. While we have zero idea what the project will sound like, we know James Blake, No I.D. and DJ Dahi will handle the production, based on a poster he tweeted Friday.
Nevertheless, the newest sound from the Long Beach native comes in the form of revisiting his Summertime ’06 project.
The double-album finished with “’06” — a short-but-aggressive song cut off 45 seconds in, seemingly cut short to save some of the energy for a later date.
It seems that time is now, as an extended version of the song arrived via Adult Swim’s Singles series.
