JAHKOY‘s new single — “California Heaven” featuring ScHoolboy Q — has been on a bit of a joyride over the last week. It caught a case of the leaks at around this time last week, then was taken down from nearly every site it was posted to. Then once that was under control, JAHKOY posted a preview of the song for all the non-sinners who don’t partake in the consumption of illegal downloading.

Thursday morning the single finally officially arrived to the masses.

“California Heaven” is about heading out to The Golden State to accomplish dreams and get away from whatever’s bogging you down on whatever other coast you live on. JAHKOY detailed how “they party on a weekday” and “there’s so much to purchase” in Cali.

“When I flew out to LA from Toronto last year, I had no clue what to expect,” JAHKOY told The FADER, who premiered the song.. “I was living with barely any money, couch surfing and staying in cheap motels. While discovering the environment, I found myself actually finding my musical purpose. That to me was heaven.”

“California Heaven” is the first single from his upcoming Foreign Water EP. Listen to the single below.
