Last month, we found out RZA, Common and Snoop Dogg would be playing themselves on The Simpsons in an hour-long “hip-hop homage” episode.
Tuesday, the show released a behind-the-scenes clip with Keegan-Michael Key, who will play the episode’s main character, Jazzy James — a washed-up rapper from the ’80s.
In a behind-the-scenes clip, Key explains the reasoning behind choosing the voice for the character, who is shown interacting with Homer, Bart and Mr. Burns while selling “really high-end candles.”
Common, RZA and Snoop will play themselves in the episode, and Taraji P. Henson will provide a voice. “The Great Phatsby” will air January 13.
