Gorillaz Officially Return With “Hallelujah Money” Featuring Benjamin Clementine

After spending the last several years “split apart” following the events of Plastic Beach (all of which were chronicled in the “books” of 2D, Murdoc, Noodle and Russell), Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett’s animated troupe Gorillaz formally make their return to music with “Hallelujah Money.”

Also guesting Benjamin Clementine, the song serves as politically-charged commentary on the onset of the Age of Apocalypse while setting off the anticipation for the group’s first album since 2010. Directed by Gorillaz and Giorgio Testi, the ominous clip can be seen below.
