Royce 5’9″ has used the first month of 2017 to tear up fellow rappers songs and make them his own. First was Phresher’s “Wait A Minute,” then DJ Khaled’s “I Got The Keys” was eviscerated. Then, as the “Beats Keep Callin,” he tore up “Lockjaw” and Migos’ “Bad & Boujee.”
On the penultimate day of the month, Nickel isn’t finished. His latest freestyle, “Let’s Take Them To War,” sees him lacing fellow Detroit native Big Sean’s “Moves” and Dave East, Don Q and G Herbo’s “No Hook,” taking each for a spin over two-and-a-half minutes.
