The Migos go major.

Having been one of the primary artists at Quality Control Entertainment and 300 Entertainment, the Migos have formally made their move to the majors, signing a joint venture between Quality Control and Motown/Capitol Records.

The signing comes after it was originally believed that the Atlanta trio had signed a management deal with G.O.O.D. Music, which was refuted a few weeks after the initial announcement.

Pierre “Pee” Thomas, COO of QC, said via press release, “This is a very exciting time for QC and Migos. We have been independently building our brand, and though our partnership with Motown/Capitol they have shown us that this is the right home to take our business to a global platform.”

Kevin “Coach K” Lee, Capitol Music Group Chairman, continued: “Working with Steve, Ethiopia and their whole team has been incredible. Like all of us at Quality Control, they work hard to push their artists’ visions front and center. It’s a creative and proactive alliance that always keeps the goals of QC in mind. Yes, I’m ready to conquer the world.”

Congrats are in order for Quavo, Takeoff and Offset.

UPDATE: As a bonus, Offset joins reality star Cardi B on her single “Lick” from her mixtape Gangsta B*tch Music Vol. 2.
