Young Thug is currently in the middle of the Boy Meets World tour across the pond with Drake right now. The last time we saw Thugger’s music on these pages, he was promoting his Jeffery album with videos for “Guwop” and the madness that was the “Wyclef Jean” shoot.
He returns today with “Safe” and a video to pair with it. Another sample of Thugger’s take on R&B, he weaves in and out of vocalizing in high and low pitches about one thing, primarily: security. Financially or physically, the main thing on Thug’s mind seems to be that he and those around him are safe.
Under the video’s description on YouTube, it said: “I Will Never Quit. Single Coming Soon.” So it seems I Will Never Quit might be the name of Thugger’s next project, which sounds pretty similar to Rich Homie Quan’s mixtapes, like Still Going In and I Promise I Will Never Stop Going In series. Are we reaching? Sure. But since Rich Gang moved on without RHQ, it’s not that far of a stretch.
