Kaytranada’s little brother Lou Phelps made his DopeHouse debut in January with “Average,” which was produced by older brother. Today, Phelps returns with another song produced by Kaytranada, “My Forte” featuring CJ Flemings.
The song is warped, dusty and full of samples with shades of Madlib inspiration layered across it all. “Never sell your soul for a low price” seems to be the main message of the song as Phelps and Flemings preach living your best life. “My Forte” will land on Phelps’ upcoming 001: Experiments project.
