Keep in mind, it’s at this point very difficult to take anything from Suge Knight seriously, given his reputation and the fact that he is currently behind bars awaiting trial for murder and attempted murder charges after running two men over in 2015 at a shoot for Straight Outta Compton. But, here goes.
With 2Pac set to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame on April 7th (by Snoop Dogg), Suge Knight is now claiming that he’s known who killed the rapper for over two decades: his ex-wife and a former employee of Death Row Records.
Knight’s attorney, Thaddeus Culpepper, wrote in a signed affidavit that “Knight has known for many years that Reggie Wright Jr. and his ex-wife Sharitha were behind the murder of Tupac and attempted murder of Knight.”
It gets better: Suge says that on that fateful night of September 7th, 1996, he was the actual target of the shooting. Oh, but it gets better: he also says that Wright was allegedly involved in the murder of The Notorious B.I.G. as well.
According to the Daily Mail, Suge has spoken out after “hearing the ‘salient points’ in the new documentary Tupac Assassination: Battle for Compton.”
“When our book came out and we were working on the movie, we gave the salient points of the book (Tupac: 187 The Red Knight) to Culpepper, who read them to Suge Knight,” Richard Bond, co-director of Tupac Assassination, said. Suge would also admit to Culpepper that their theories were in fact true.
Knight also claims that Sharitha and Reggie would be behind numerous attempts on Suge’s life, including being shot six times at Chris Brown’s pre-VMAs party in Los Angeles back in 2014.
