Drake, Rihanna, The Weeknd Lead 2017 Billboard Music Award Nominations

The ever-important and highly anticipated Billboard Music Awards are right around the corner, and today, the establishment released the nominations for its award show, which airs May 21 at 8 p.m. on ABC.

Leading the way with TWENTY-TWO nominations each are Drake and The Chainsmokers, two acts who dominated the radio in 2016.

Following those two, Rihanna (14), The Weeknd (13) and Beyoncé (eight) followed up with a bunch of nominations, which landed in categories like Top Artist, Top Billboard 200 Artist, Top Radio Songs Artist and others dealing with albums and tours.
