Today (April 26th) has been an interesting day for the DopeHouse landlords, as our soundtracks at the office have been everything from Khalid’s American Teen to Gabriel Garzón Montano’s Jardin to Sevdaliza’s Ison. So, needless to say, this latest track from Goapele is hitting all the right spots.

The Bay Area songstress has revealed plans to release Dreamseeker, a follow-up to her 2014 album Strong As Glass, on May 19th. Speaking to VIBE about the song, Goapele says ““I’m a woman, but I’m also a whole person who won’t be confined to any one box. Nobody is just one thing. Within any race, within any genre, and within any neighborhood, there’s so much diversity. As artists and especially as women of color, we have to be proud of that. I’m coming from an honest place and expressing the different parts of myself that make me whole.”
