A News Station Paid Tribute To Prodigy In An Awesome Way

The hip hop world is still reeling from the shocking and sudden death of Mobb Deep‘s Prodigy on Tuesday, June 20th. Numerous musicians have paid their respects, while his longtime partner Havoc remains in disbelief about everything.

A local news channel, however, has given an homage to P in their own unique way.

During their June 21st early morning show, Mark Arum and Fred Blankenship of Atlanta’s WSB-TV Channel 2 incorporated many of Prodigy lyrics into their traffic reports. From “Drink Away The Pain (Situations)” to “Right Back At You,” Arum and Blankenship dropped multiple references to the rapper throughout their three reports.

This isn’t the first (or even second) time that the pair has paid tribute to rappers: just a week prior they homaged 2Pac on what would have been his 46th birthday.

They even did the same for The Notorious B.I.G. on the twentieth anniversary of his death.

And in 2016, Mark and Fred tributed Phife Dawg on the day of his death.

Never stop never stopping, Mark and Fred.
