Twelve’Len has been consistently impressive, most recently starring alongside Denzel Curry on the ominous “Human Gods.” He follows that effort up with “Almost There,” a song featuring the wavering styles of Allan Kingdom.
The song is dedicated to fans who’ve been around since day one, noting that he’s “almost there” — there being the place where he can break through to a wider audience. Once he does finally make it to the destination, though, he’ll be sure to remember who stuck by him during the ride.
The two explore a retro sound with glitzy synthesizers on “Almost There,” and it’s a pairing I don’t think I ever would’ve drummed up. It winds up a pleasant result, though. Listen to the John Falco-produced single below.
