Playboi Carti is as intertwined with the A$AP Mob as anyone outside of the clique has been. He was featured all over the recent Cozy Tapes Vol. 2 project, and stopped by Ferg’s recently released Still Striving mixtape. Carti’s relationship with the Mob goes back at least a couple years, as he was also featured on the first Cozy Tapes, too.
Carti hasn’t only worked with A$AP Mob on their project, the group’s now-leader A$AP Rocky dropped by the Atlanta native’s self-titled mixtape released earlier this year on “New Choppa.” While songs like “wokeuplikethis” and “Magnolia” have caught a bigger buzz than “New Choppa,” the Rocky-featured effort is one of the more energetic on the project.
The song now has a video, which sees Rocky and Carti sitting in a theater watching a movie, only the movie is them shooting things like Sprite and blueberry pie alongside some warrior women. It’s crazy what you can do with money.
