Unfortunately, because of his current legal situation, Kevin Gates is both unable to physically promote his recently-released By Any Means 2 or appear in his own video for “Imagine That.” Fortunately, his family has his back no matter what.
His wife Dreka, son Khaza and daughter Islah star in the monochrome-hued video. Islah, in particular, ends up stealing the show as she’s actually performing the lyrics to the song.
“I’m sure many of you out there can relate to this, but not having my husband/best friend/father to my children home right now, makes our life really hard sometimes,” Dreka said in a statement. “It’s the simple things like birthday parties and family gatherings that we take for granted. And it’s tough for our kids to understand. I empathize with any of you out there going thru the same thing, with loved ones who are locked up. Hopefully this video will connect with you guys.”
