In 1998 T3, Baatin and J Dilla — collectively known as Slum Village — would finish their anticipated seminal album Fantastic Vol. 2 which, unfortunately, did not see a release until 2000. Now, as the album approaches its (true) 20th anniversary, SV are celebrating by sharing some previously-vaulted tracks.
These tracks will make up The Lost Scrolls Vol. 2. Slated for release later in April, these tracks were recorded while the three were still in their teens. The have now shared the “original” version (dubbed the “lost remix”) of “Hold Tight,” with Q-Tip. Listen to it below.
